Giving Back
A significant portion of Juliette Eye Academy's profits are donated to the Juliette RP Vision Foundation and the Grace Vision Foundation.
Our Commitment
Dr. Robert F. Melendez built Juliette Eye Academy on the belief that the highest standard of surgical and leadership education should be available to those with the drive to pursue it — regardless of background or financial circumstance.
That is why a meaningful share of every dollar earned through the Academy is donated to the Juliette RP Vision Foundation and the Grace Vision Foundation — creating a self-sustaining cycle where today's mentees become tomorrow's mentors.
Scholarship Areas
The fund is structured around the same domains that define the Juliette Eye Academy curriculum — clinical excellence, surgical mastery, leadership development, and research innovation.
Annual scholarships awarded through the Juliette RP Vision Foundation and Grace Vision Foundation to ophthalmology residents and fellows who demonstrate exceptional leadership potential.
Funding surgical training opportunities for underrepresented physicians who lack access to elite mentorship and hands-on operative experience.
Connecting scholarship recipients with senior surgeons and executives in the Juliette Eye network for long-term career guidance and sponsorship.
Supporting early-career ophthalmologists pursuing peer-reviewed research, conference presentations, and clinical innovation in refractive and cataract surgery.
How It Works
A significant portion of every tuition dollar paid to Juliette Eye Academy is donated to the Juliette RP Vision Foundation and the Grace Vision Foundation. As the Academy grows, so does the impact — creating compounding change year over year.
Scholarship recipients are selected annually by Dr. Melendez and an advisory panel, with awards announced at the start of each cohort year. Recipients receive full or partial coverage of program tuition, plus access to the Juliette Eye mentorship network.
"The measure of a surgeon's legacy is not the cases they performed — it is the careers they made possible."
— Rob Melendez, MD, MBA
